Delicious premium Turkish food for a premium price. The service was outstanding, and I have no complaints. The only thing I would nitpick on is that we got seated on one of the side tables, and I felt like the middle is a better vibe. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the fresh Turkish bread was so good. Normally I don’t eat tableside bread since it fills me up and it’s usually not the best quality, but this bread was freshly baked and oh so delicious. We got chicken, lamb, steak, variety of appetizers and a couple desserts as well. I think the Turkish desserts at Oklava is better priced and tastes better, but other than that, I would order everything else in a heartbeat. The service was outstanding too, my party and I had a later reservation and we were so busy enjoying the food and each others company that we didn’t realize how late it had gotten. But we didn’t feel rushed to leave and the staff was so courteous. Although expensive, I think your money is better spent here than some other competing restaurants in Palo Alto.
We had a great date night here. The service is 10/10 and the food was delicious. We got the roasted red pepper spread, artichoke with shrimp, grilled octopus and the dumplings with beef. We got the baklava for dessert. Everything was amazing. Definitely make a reservation ahead of time. I grabbed a 5:30pm res for 2 on a Friday a few days out - all the other slots were booked.
Went with family for dinner. Orhan our server was great and made excellent recommendations. We wish we could try everything so we’ll definitely be back. If you have never had this food be excited because it tastes amazing and is healthy. We got the mixed grill for $224- expensive but worth it. You definitely get enough for 4 or 6 if it’s kids. The chicken was not as great as I wish but it was delicious, I really liked the red meat. Didn’t try the fish but will next time.
Absolutely amazing meal with both strong and subtle flavors. Incredible Turkish bread right out of the oven. The simple garlic yogurt is worth the trip all by itself! Superb grilled eggplant and peppers, and kebabs too. The tomatoes taste homegrown. Real chocolate covers the profiteroles. The wait staff don’t hurry you, so you can relax and flag them when you’re ready.
Meyhouse in Palo Alto (California) is definitely worth the hype and the hefty check you'll get at the end if you don't watch what you're eating. The servers are really good...they cater to your every need and they are constantly there is guide you to order, explain each entree and suggest menu items to suit your taste buds. Pretty cool interiors too. All in all, a luxury premium experience that will satisfy all your Turkish / Mediterranean cravings. We were there for an occasion so we decided to splurge a little. We ordered the "LITTLE LITTLE IN THE MIDDLE" for all 3 of us. It's basically a Chef's tasting menu but a pretty unique one at that. It included some items that were not even available on their menus. Trust me, it was really filling and we were a few pounds heavier walking back to the car! Worth it at $95 per person? That's for you to decide.
Excellent meal - I loved the sesame coated bread and olive oil dip, the Kopoglu (eggplant and yogurt), and the Pirzola (bone in lamb chops) - it was cooked to perfection - the meat was tender and there was a good chew of the bite.
What an amazing restaurant in downtown Palo Alto. We had the Chef's tasting menu and it was amazing. The portions were very generous and every dish had great flavor. Very attentive service as well.
Okay wow this was the best thing I’ve eaten in a while. Eggplant dish was so creamy, octopus 10/10, seabass melted in my mouth. Every dish was perfect except maybe skip on the dessert. Came here for Dad's birthday and the staff was awesome. Interior is stunning!
